Please select which of the following small groups you would like to be a part of:
Movie Group: watch and discuss Breakthrough & Hacksaw Ridge
Class is full. Ballroom Dancing: led by Russ Schultz - Russ has served as a ballroom dance instructor for many years aboard cruise ships and will be leading us in some basic dance steps like the waltz, swing, and others. No experienced required! Bring a friend or significant other with you to join you in dancing, or just come and meet others for lots of fun. We will clear the chairs in the Fellowship Hall, and get ready to dance!
Marriage Enrichment: led by Pam & Steve Oslos - Pam and Steve Oslos have served for the past nine years as lead facilitators for Twin Cities Marriage Encounter. We are pleased to have them join us for the fall small group series on marriage enrichment. Pam and Steve will share from their own experience in marriage, while facilitating the conversation with couples through: (1) the dynamics of understanding and loving yourself as a beloved creation of God, (2) understanding yourself in relationship with your marriage partner (including all of the imperfections and brokenness that come with marriage), (3) exploring God’s rich spiritual undergirding for marriage, and (4) providing ample time for couples to dialogue through writing and conversation with one another while evaluating and setting growth goals for the future of their marriage.
Nurturing your Inner Child: led by Clayton & Camille Lang - People will renew their sense of adventure in the great outdoors by hiking, kayaking, snowshoeing, mountain biking, sledding, etc. Activity will be chosen based on the weather. Equipment may need to be rented by participants.
Music & the Brain: led by Nancy Albertson & Kathleen Weisman - Come and explore the positive effects that music can have on our brain as we join with Nancy Albertson (our Youth Choir Director) and Kathleen Weisman (retired RN & lifelong choir member) in this very practical small group. During our time together, we will explore how music can aid in the areas of mental focus, relaxation, memory improvement, and influencing our emotional mood throughout the day.
